Teatro SEA Unveils Its Fall 2025 SEAson!

Theater for all! While renovations continue at The Clemente, Teatro SEA brings beloved children’s classics, bold new works, and cabaret nights to its intimate Punto SEA stage.

New York, NY – Teatro SEA, the nation’s premier Latine Theater for Young Audiences, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dr. Manuel A. Morán, is thrilled to announce its Fall 2025 SEAson, filled with bilingual performances, music, and new theatrical works for children and adults.

Although Teatro SEA’s beloved main stage remains closed due to ongoing renovations at The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center, the company will continue to bring vibrant programming to audiences. This Fall’s performances will be presented in Punto SEA, its intimate café-theater and cabaret space, which has become a creative hub during the renovation period.

The season begins September 20th with the return of family favorite The True Story of Little Red. In November, audiences will enjoy The Colors of Frida, a bilingual celebration of the legendary artist, returning home after over 50 touring performances last year. December brings Teatro SEA’s holiday tradition Dream of Kings, leading up to the organization’s iconic Three Kings Day Festival Celebration on January 6th.

A major highlight of the season is the premiere of the new Latiné musical reading-concert of Telenovela Dreams, presented in partnership with Pregones/PRTT. This vibrant, comedic musical pays homage to the over-the-top world of Latin American soap operas, weaving drama, romance, fantasy, and music into a heartfelt story about ambition, family, and identity.

This Fall also features the return of BORIMIX 2025, the city’s largest Puerto Rican Heritage Month festival, produced in collaboration with Teatro LATEA, The Clemente, and CENTRO. This year’s edition will feature Argentina as the guest country. Teatro SEA’s contribution includes MicroTeatro, bringing back by popular demand Todo lo que Pasó and El Reencuentro.

In December, Teatro SEA will also host the Hispanic Federation’s El Barrio Children’s Film Festival, celebrating its 12th edition with free films, arts & crafts, and family-friendly programming. Meanwhile, Punto SEA’s cabaret nights will showcase Latine talent for adult audiences on select Friday evenings.

Even as our main stage undergoes much-needed renovations, our commitment to our audiences has not wavered. Punto SEA has become an intimate, creative refuge where we can continue sharing stories that celebrate our culture and community. This Fall, we are proud to present a season that bridges generations — from children’s classics to bold new works like Telenovela Dreams. We invite everyone to join us in our cabaret space as we keep our mission alive and thriving.” stated Dr. Manuel A. Morán, Founder and Artistic Director.

This holiday favorite uses traditional Latin American Christmas songs to tell us the story of the year in which, rather than following the Star, the Three Magi decided to use GPS. This leads them not to arrive at Bethlehem of Judea, but at the home of Jesús Rodríguez, a kid in the Barrio Belén of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.
