Free outdoor event features Grammy-winning artist Lucy Kalantari, youth mariachi, bomba, and more!
New York, NY – On Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Teatro SEA invites families across New York City to join us on Suffolk Street (between Rivington and Delancey) for a spectacular afternoon of music, dance, culture, and community as part of our Arte Pa’ Mi Gente Festival and the 2nd Annual Latine Children’s Music Day.
This free outdoor celebration will feature an exciting lineup of top-tier performers dedicated to uplifting Latiné children’s music and culture. Headlining the event is Grammy Award-winning artist Lucy Kalantari, known for her joyful and jazz-infused music for children. She will be joined by a vibrant mix of youth performers and special guests from across the city and beyond.
Featured acts include:
– The Youth Ensemble of Bombazo Dance Co., showcasing traditional Puerto Rican bomba with live drumming and dance
– The acclaimed Mariachi Academy of New York, representing the next generation of mariachi excellence
– Simón Cifuentes, virtuoso teen singer and recent semi-finalist on The Voice Kids Colombia
– Teatro SEA’s own bilingual children’s music group, El Avión–The Airplane, featuring a special appearance by Little Pilot (Manuel Gabriel) and SEA’s beloved mascot Nunito
In addition to music and dance, the event will include arts and crafts workshops, free gifts, surprises, and more—creating a festive and inclusive environment for children and families of all backgrounds.

Morán, founder and Artistic Director of Teatro SEA. “This year, we are thrilled to present an even more dynamic lineup of artists and youth talent who embody the joy, identity, and power of our culture through music. We remain committed to making bilingual arts experiences accessible and celebratory for all.”

Nueva York, NY – El próximo sábado 9 de agosto de 2025, de 1:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m., Teatro SEA invita a las familias de toda la ciudad de Nueva York a disfrutar de una tarde llena de música, danza, cultura y comunidad en Suffolk Street (entre Rivington y Delancey), como parte de su festival de verano Arte Pa’ Mi Gente y la celebración del 2.º Festival de Música Infantil Latiné.
Este evento gratuito al aire libre contará con una emocionante cartelera de artistas enfocados en la música y cultura infantil Latiné. La destacada invitada de este año es la reconocida artista ganadora de múltiples premios Grammy, Lucy Kalantari, famosa por su música alegre e inspirada en el jazz para niños. Kalantari compartirá el escenario con una vibrante mezcla de jóvenes talentos y artistas invitados especiales.
Entre los actos destacados se encuentran:
– El Ensamble Juvenil de Bombazo Dance Co., con presentaciones de bomba puertorriqueña tradicional con baile y tambores en vivo
– La aclamada Academia de Mariachi de Nueva York, representando a la nueva generación del mariachi
– Simón Cifuentes, joven cantante virtuoso y semifinalista reciente de The Voice Kids Colombia
– El grupo musical infantil bilingüe de Teatro SEA, El Avión–The Airplane, con la participación especial de Little Pilot (Manuel Gabriel) y la querida mascota de SEA, Nunito
Además de las presentaciones musicales y de danza, el evento incluirá talleres de arte y manualidades, regalos gratuitos, sorpresas y muchas actividades para disfrutar en familia.
